"WEDGE RECESS" - Newport Beach, CA

Shot from the edge of the Wedge jetty, this view looks north along the Balboa Peninsula. You can see the shoreline stretch all the way to the pier, with scattered swimmers and beachgoers enjoying a typical summer day. The moss-covered rocks in the foreground are a reminder of the power and unpredictability of this break — even on calm days. It’s a peaceful frame, but just off to the left, the water can turn wild in an instant.
